A new report which today claims to have advance knowledge of upcoming iPhone design is suggesting that a new device will look a lot like a larger iPhone 5C. The report comes from Macotakara and suggests that a high-end model of the new iPhone will ship with a larger screen and will look like a variation on the design adopted by the iPhone 5C, except with screen sizes of 4.7 inches and 5.7 inches diagonally.
The new device will apparently have similar design notes to the iPhone 5C although some of the claims appear to be lost in translation. According to the report, the camera will protrude from the rear of the slightly, which is similar to that found on the current generation iPod touch. However, the report does suggest that while the device is slated to be 7mm in thickness at this stage, it could be expanded to 7.5mm in the final design.
The report points to this rumored new device as an expansion to the current iPhone 5C models rather than a replacement, which seems rather unexpected.
