Following on from months of rumors suggesting that Apple would be making massive movies into the television market, a new suggestion from technology writer MG Siegler has reignited the interest in the product. According to Siegler, he has been hearing chatter about an Apple television product coming as soon as this November (at around 1h 26 into the podcast). The product that is being referred to is not necessarily a television screen, but some sort of interactive technology, that likely is an evolution from simple voice control.
Aside from this, there is little detail on what else Siegler could be referring to. Historical rumors have suggested that Apple is not only working on a television set, but that the company is also working on a new way for people to interact with their television as well as looking to transform the television market. Certainly the current Apple TV product has taken a very conservative approach to the services that it offers, and it will be interesting to see what sort of potentially revolutionary product Apple is working on if, indeed, a November release is accurate.
