A new picture has been posted today which offers a comparison between a camera module for the iPhone 5, and a purported iPhone 5S camera module (on the left) which shows some significant differences. Posted by French site nowhereelse.fr, the image shows that the camera module for the iPhone 5 has an attached flash component but that the camera for the iPhone 5S has no flash attached. This is because the camera for the iPhone 5S has been rumored to have significant improvements to the flash enabling much better pictures in low light.
In addition to this, previous rumors have also talked about increased sensitivity and power of the sensor inside the camera itself, perhaps around 12 megapixels. The iPhone 5S camera has also been suggested to have improved focussing abilities and the ability to shoot high frame rate, slow motion movies.
