A new report is suggesting that Apple will be launching both a 4.7 inch and a 5.5 inch version of the iPhone 6 in September of this year. The report comes from Bloomberg who say that both devices will enter production in July, and that the larger version, which has initially been rumored to be launching later than the 4.7 inch version, could actually be made available in September.
The source of the information is apparently people who are familiar with the plans, although it’s not clear what changes have occurred in order for Apple to be able to ship the larger device at the same time as the smaller one. However, the report does say that the 5.5 inch version is more challenging to produce, resulting in lower production efficiency.
Equally, it is also not yet known if Apple will continue to produce devices with a 4 inch screen, currently found in the iPhone 5S and 5C.
