While previous reports have pointed towards 2015 as being the year when an iPhone with a 5.5 inch screen is launching, a new report is suggesting that the device could launch much earlier. According to Brian White, an analyst with Cantor Fitzgerald, the much bigger iPhone could actually be released this year at the same time as a device with a 4.7 inch screen (via MacRumors).
The report suggests that several third party manufacturers had already started producing accessories for the bigger iPhone, which apparently translates to the device launching in Fall this year. The target timeline for the launch of both devices being September 2014.
While several financial analysts have not had particularly successful track records with predicting Apple release schedules, it is not too far fetched that Apple could be launching two new iPhone devices year, particularly if the only differentiating factor is the screen size.
