A new report is suggesting that the long-rumored iWatch (pictured above as a concept by Todd Hamilton) isn’t the only foray that Apple will be making into the fields of health and fitness. According to Reuters, the company is preparing to entirely revamp wearable technologies and to strongly focus on medical and fitness monitoring through new devices. Apple is apparently hiring strongly in new sensor technologies, with much of the expertise focused upon health and fitness detection.
Apple apparently seems to consider biomedical technologies, in the sense of human monitoring, as the next big thing with massive interest in the area. With the launch of thre iWatch expected to take place this fall, it is likely to be only the beginning.
