A new report is suggesting that the iWatch has entered production in preparation for its release in the second half of this year. The report comes via sources within the Apple supply chain who suggest that the production volumes will initially relatively low but will ramp up further later in the year (via the China Times). The report also suggests that the iWatch will have a sensor for fingerprint recognition which is an interesting move.
The report doesn’t give an accurate timeframe for the launch but recent rumors have suggested that it will launch in the third quarter of the year in two different sizes.
