New photos of what appear to be the upcoming low-cost iPhone 5C in its official retail packaging have been published. The photos come from iApps.im (via 9to5Mac) and appear to show multiple iPhone 5C devices packaged up in a white plastic box with a clear plastic cover. The devices themselves appear to be the red, white blue and yellow colored iterations of the iPhone 5C with a black front panel, and the icons are indicating that the device will ship with iOS 7 operating system that is currently in Developer beta testing.
The packaging appears to confirm that the name of the new device will be the iPhone 5C and indicates that the new iPhone will have a four inch screen as expected. In addition, the color of the iOS 7 wallpaper for the device appears to match the color of the back panel i.e. in one photo the device has red wallpaper and a red rear panel. This appears to be the same with the other devices.
The iPhone 5C is expected to launch at an Apple event on September 10, and has been forecast to cost between $400 – $500 at launch.
