A new version of OS X 10.8.3 contains support for a new NVIDIA graphics card that is destined to be included in the new version of the Mac Pro which will reportedly be released this year. According to a report by MacRumors, the new OS X 10.8.3 beta, which was seeded to registered members of the Apple Developer Program for testing yesterday, contains support for the Quadro K5000 graphics card. The Quadro K5000 was unveiled by NVIDIA last year but has, as yet, not been released.
A major update to the Mac Pro is expected to be released at some point this year, but details on the new device have been scarce thus far, and there is no expected timeframe for the release. That said, OS X 10.8.3 expected to be released in the coming weeks as it has been in Developer testing for a significant amount of time.
