A new series of pictures of what is being claimed to be the rear casing of the iPad mini 2 has appeared online, with the device being shown in a new ‘Space Gray’ color. The pictures come from nowhereelse.fr and showcase the new color, which has recently been debuted by Apple in the form of the iPhone 5S. According to the site, the iPad mini 2 will be available both in this color and a white version, but it’s unclear if the new gold/champagne color which also appeared first on the iPhone 5S will also be used in the iPad mini 2.
The site also offers a profile of the new device, suggesting that it will sport an A6 processor, a 12MP camera and a Retina Display. The new device has been suggested to be launching in mid to late October with October 15 already being thrown around as a possible date.
